St. John's junior Kieran McArdle was selected the Big East preseason offensive lacrosse player of the year, the conference announced.

McArdle, a graduate of Connetquot High School, had 28 goals and 32 assists last season.

His 60 points were the most since the program was reinstated in 2005. St. John's was selected to finish third in the conference behind Syracuse and Notre Dame.
