Yahoo! sports is reporting that former USC running back Reggie Bush will be stripped of his 2005 Heisman Trophy by the end of the month.

Bush, who now plays for the New Orleans Saints, would be the first player to be stripped of his Heisman in the 75-year history of the award.

The Heisman trust has been conducting an inquiry since the time the NCAA ruled that Bush had accepted money, gifts and other benefits while playing for the Trojans.

Recently, incoming USC president C.L. Max Nikias said the school would return its copy of Bush's Heisman and new athletic director Pat Haden, in an interview with Dan Patrick, suggested Bush should return his Heisman.

But ESPN is reporting that the trust has not made any decisions on the Bush situation.
