Stony Brook midfielder Leonardo Fernandes of North Babylon was chosen by the Philadelphia Union in the fourth round of Major League Soccer’s supplemental draft.

Fernandes, the program’s all-time leader in points with 79, is the university’s first soccer player drafted by MLS. He also became the school’s first men’s soccer All-American.
