St. John's adds forward Reed Bailey from Indiana

Reed Bailey, a 6-10 forward who played last season for Indiana, has signed with St. John's for the upcoming season, the school announced Wednesday.
Bailey shot a career-high 57% from the field last season and averaged 8.3 points and 3.4 rebounds in 19 minutes per game for the Hoosiers. He played the three previous seasons at Davidson, where he total 1,203 points in 97 games and was an All-Atlantic 10 first team selection.
“Reed brings great experience,” Red Storm coach Rick Pitino said in a statement. “He is someone who has played at a high level and has seen it all. He really understands how to play the game. He has good positional size and fits perfectly in our motion offense.”
For his college career so far, Bailey is averaging 11.4 points and 4.3 rebounds per game and shooting 76.6% from the free-throw line. He graduated from Indiana last spring and will be a graduate student at St. John's with one year of eligibility of remaining.
