Seawolves' defense dominates in victory over New Hampshire

Two first-half defensive touchdowns and a powerful rushing attack helped lead No. 19 Stony Brook, 35-7, over host New Hampshire in a CAA football game Saturday.
TJ Morrison returned an interception 35-yards to put the Seawolves ahead 14-0 with 8:50 remaining in the first quarter and Shayne Lawless returned a fumble 54-yards for a score on the first play of the second quarter for a Stony Brook defense that held New Hampshire to just 78 yards rushing.
Donald Liotine ran for 163 yards on 32 carries and Kameron Pickett chipped in 20 yards, including a touchdown with 1:32 remaining the game.
The Seawolves pash rush got to New Hampshire quarterback Trevor Knight five times, including two sacks each from Sam Kamara and Augie Contressa. Contressa finished with 11 tackles and forced the fumble Lawless' touchdown.
