The Stony Brook women's lacrosse team earned its first win over a top-10 opponent in program history Thursday night, beating host and No. 6/7 Florida, 12-11.

No. 17/14 SBU (6-0) was led by freshman Kylie Ohlmiller, who had five goals and an assist. "Last year, Florida beat us, 14-1," coach Joe Spallina said. " . . . To go into Gainesville and come out with a win over a top 10 team speaks volumes about the talent and ability of our kids."
