Texas tumbles in new polls
Texas' embarrassing 34-12 loss at home to UCLA on Saturday hurt the Longhorns in both the AP and USA Today polls.
The Longhorns, who has been No. 7 in the AP poll and No. 4 in the USA Today poll heading into the UCLA game, fell to No. 21 in the AP poll and No. 16 in the USA Today poll.
Stanford, fresh off a 37-14 blowout win over Notre Dame in South Bend, is No. 9 in the AP poll and appears to be a real threat to win the Pac-10 and get to a BCS bowl.
Arkansas, a 24-20 loser against No. 1 Alabama, fell to No. 15 in both polls. The Razorbacks had been No. 10 in the AP poll and No. 11 in the USA Today poll.
South Carolina, which lost 35-27 at Auburn on Saturday night, fell from No. 12 to No. 19 in the AP poll. The Gamecocks are No. 22 in the USA Today after going into the Auburn game ranked No. 15.
Auburn is now No. 10 in the AP poll and No. 11 in the USA Today poll.
Nevada, which beat BYU on Saturday and has a win this season over California, is 4-0 and ranled No. 25 in both polls.
