USC, TCU, South Carolina to use 2 QBs

The two quarterback scenario. Does it work? It doesn't in the NFL. It’s another story in college football. Several teams will employ the two signal-caller offense this weekend. And we’re not talking about any fringe programs. South Carolina, USC and TCU will have more than one quarterback taking snaps this weekend.
Spurrier has said that Shaw is the starter. But Thompson will see his share of snaps, too. After last season’s 11-2 finish and win over Michigan in the Outback Bowl, Spurrier has a good problem.
“They all know I don’t need to say anything,” Patterson told the Associated Press. “It’s one of those things. I think they both have confidence in both guys. Both showed they can win. Both have different characteristics.”
The contest will be close. Pachall is 15-2 as the Horned Frogs starter, while Boykin threw for 2,054 yards and 15 scores as a freshman.
"We look at it as a great thing," he told the Times. "We've got two guys that we feel great about. We don't feel like we have to limit our offense with either one.”
