NFL training camps start opening in the last week of July into early August in an atmosphere of uncertainty heading into an uncapped season with ominous signs that a lockout is looming before the 2011 season.

No team is beset by more payroll problems than the Jets with All-Pros Darrelle Revis and Nick Mangold mulling potential holdouts and facing contract issues that could carry over onto the field and affect team chemistry.

But worries over what might happen off the field are best left to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and his NFL Players Association counterpart DeMaurice Smith to negotiate.

The excitement is building for the 2010 season in New York with the Jets talking Super Bowl and the Giants trying to recapture the formula they used to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy in the 2007-08 season.
