Giants linebacker Michael Boley scored a touchdown on a 65-yard fumble return last night against the Rams, and he was so excited after getting into the endzone that he threw the ball at one of the Giants' cameramen who was filming the action from behind the endzone.

The ball hit Ryan Brown squarely on his left cheek.

Afterward, Boley said he didn't do it on purpose.

"I was just reacting to the moment," he said in the locker room. "I didn't mean to hurt anybody. It was just the emotion of the play."

Brown, an intern in the Giants' video department, said afterward he was ok. The biggest thing he had to deal  was all the attention he got, since the play was captured on national television and quickly hit the Internet.

"My phone blew up with all the texts from all my friends who saw it," he said. "They told me the video went viral."

Quipped video director Joe Scacciaferro. "Kid's a hero."
