If there's a secret to the Patriots' success, it's coach Bill Belichick's incessant desire to improve regardless of his team's record. Just ask quarterback Tom Brady, who has won three Super Bowl rings for the Patriots during Belichick's run.

"Coach always puts it best to us," Brady said. "He says that everything that's happened this year has just provided us with an opportunity. There is nothing set in stone. Yeah, we're in a good position, but we can be in a bad position really quickly in a span of two or three weeks."

Hmmm. Sound familiar, Jets fans? The Jets and Patriots met when both teams were 9-2, and New England won, 45-3. Now the Jets are 9-4 after a loss to the Dolphins last week - and the Patriots are 11-2 and in firm control of the division.

Up next for the Pats: the Packers at home, where Brady has won 26 straight regular-season games.
