Rookie quarterback Cam Newton’s statistical influence on the Panthers’ offense is obvious: 397.6 yards per game this year, compared to 258.4 last year and 260 passing yards this year compared to 143.1 last year. Newton also has 13 rushing TDs, the most all-time in a season by a quarterback. With 3,297 passing yards, he’s only the fourth rookie to pass for more than 3,000 yards, joining Peyton Manning, Matt Ryan and Sam Bradford.
