Colts willing to pay Manning, Luck in 2012

Bill Polian says money will not prevent the Indianapolis Colts from taking a quarterback with in next year’s NFL draft.

Indy’s vice chairman told listeners to his weekly radio show Monday night that the Colts could afford to keep four-time league MVP Peyton Manning and another quarterback on the roster without sacrificing the team’s ability to compete.

The Colts (0-11) have a two-game lead in the chase for the No. 1 draft pick, and most analysts expect that pick to be used on Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck.

Polian has avoided talking directly about Luck, who is a junior and could still return to school.

But Polian reiterated the point that if the right person was available, he would take a quarterback to succeed Manning.
