Darrelle Revis said today that his agent, Neil Schwartz, is in the process of reviewing a contract proposal from the Jets. The All Pro cornerback, who is scheduled to make $1 million this season and has been assured by the team that he'll get a new contract, is still mulling over his options.
But Revis (pictured) shot down speculation that he is asking for a deal worth as much as $20 million per season.
"That's false," he said. "I'm not looking for $20 million a year. I never said that. That's not going to happen. "
Revis said he hopes to have a new deal done before training camp. When asked if it was possible he would hold out of camp if he doesn't have a deal by then, he replied: "I wish I could answer that question ... As of right now, I'm not even thinking about that."
