Vikings quarterback Brett Favre has apologized for being a distraction to his teammates, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, who reported Favre said he was sorry during a team meeting this morning. The Vikings play the Jets tonight at New Meadowlands Stadium.

Favre is being investigated for allegedly sending inappropriate messages and photos to Jenn Sterger, a former Jets game day host. Favre is also being investigated for allegedly sending inappropriate texts to two massage therapists employed by the team.

Favre was the Jets' quarterback in 2008.

"I hate in any way if this has been a distraction," Favre said in an ESPN production meeting yesterday. "We are here focused on trying to beat the Jets."
