Brett Favre says he is still unsure if his injured throwing shoulder will allow him to play on Sunday against the New York Giants. The Minnesota Vikings quarterback hopes to make a decision by Friday.
Favre did not practice on Wednesday as the Vikings started preparing for the Giants. He sprained the SC joint in his shoulder on a crushing hit by Bills linebacker Arthur Moats last week and missed most of the game.
If Favre cannot play, his NFL record for consecutive starts would end at 297 regular season games. Favre says he isn't concerned about keeping the streak intact. He says "the most important streak right now is we've won two in a row."
Interim coach Leslie Frazier says the streak will not factor into the decision.
