INDIANAPOLIS -- Brandon Jacobs said he and his teammates partied "hard" after their Super Bowl XLVI win and that he's looking forward to Tuesday's parade. But beyond that, he's not speculating on his future.

Jacobs, who at different times last week said he expected to be back with the Giants but also was preparing to play his final game for the franchise, said Monday that he wants to be back and that the Giants can make that happen.

"I don't think my situation is up in the air," he said. "If this team wants me back here, they know what they have to do to get it done."

They'll have to pay him.

Jacobs is owed a $500,000 bonus next month, so the Giants either will pay that and keep him for 2012 or release him. The smart money seems to be on no money being exchanged, although there is a chance the Giants will come to a new agreement with the running back.

Jacobs did take a pay cut for 2011 that allowed the team to re-sign Ahmad Bradshaw. He is owed $4.4 million in base salary in 2012, a very high number for a backup running back who will be 30 when the season begins.

Jacobs knows it's not his decision whether the Giants want him back. But if it were, he'd stay despite what have been annual run-ins and difficulties with his role in recent years.

"This is where I want to be," he said. "It's a great organization. I have great brothers, a great coaching staff. This is where I want to be, no doubt about it. They know what they have to do to get it done. I ain't arguing or denying anything. This is definitely where I want to be."
