Bulluck coming home
Keith Bulluck, the veteran linebacker who's spent his entire 10-year career with the Titans, is about to return to his roots.
Bulluck has agreed to a one-year, $2.5 million contract with the Giants, a deal that immediately upgrades their linebacker corps. A native of Rockland County's New City, Bulluck ultimately chose to play a stone's throw from where he was an all-state star at Clarkstown North High School rather than suit up for the Cardinals, a team he also worked out for.
Bulluck, who lined up mostly on the outside during his days in Tennessee, will slide in at starting middle linebacker, filling the void left by the release of veteran Antonio Pierce. The 33-year-old three-time Pro Bowler ranks third on the Titans all-time tackles list with 1,265, and had started 127 straight games before he suffered a torn ACL against the Dolphins in Week 14.
Seven months removed from surgery to repair his ACL, Bulluck worked out for the Giants on Monday and apparently the team saw more than enough to bring him into the fold with exactly eight days left before they report to Albany for training camp next Sunday.
