Calhoun gets cut (relax, not from the roster) and Linval spends time up in the air

A few other notes from the locker room:

I mentioned that Giants receiver Duke Calhoun had cut off his dreadlocks. Turns out he really just chopped them off. Or at least he had roommate Seth Williams cut them while he did the same for Williams.

“I said when I got a job I was going to get a haircut,” he said. “Look like it’s a business.”

The problem is that he and Williams basically mangled each others’ hair.

“So now we’re looking for a barber to finish us off,” he said.

You may recall on one of Linval Joseph’s sacks this preseason he was basically carried across the field piggy-back style by Ravens quarterback Troy Smith. Joseph weighs 320 pounds and he said he remembers being on Smith’s back wondering why he wouldn not go down. Then he looked at Smith’s legs. “They were bigger than mine,” he said. “I’ve never seen a quarterback with legs bigger than mine.”

A few moves in the locker room to note. Keith Bulluck moved down a few stalls and is now next to Osi Umenyiora. He had been next to Justin Tuck. That spot now belongs to Jason Pierre-Paul. Looks like Tuck will have to do a little baby-sitting. Interesting that with the locker next to Osi's open, they decided to move Bulluck there and not JPP. Also Linval Joseph moved to the other end of the room and is now next to Chris Canty right near the door.
