Coughlin "hoping" to have Nicks on Sunday, but was "hoping" for him today too

Coughlin sounded disappointed that Hakeem Nicks was not able to practice today. As for Sunday?

"I'm hoping, I'm hoping," Coughlin said. "Really I was hoping he would be able to do something today. But that wasn't the case."

The Giants would love to get him on the field at least tomorrow before the game on Sunday.

"It's hard to play well and not practice," Coughlin said. "There are just so many things that happen out there."

Coughlin also said that Osi Umenyiora's knee looked good and he was able to move around in practice. and he said Bruce Johnson (knee) probably could have worked today but the wanted to give him an extra day of rest to get all of the swelling out.
