D.J. Johnson compares the social scenes in Denver and New York
I wrote about D.J. Johnson’s take on the Kenny McKinley death yesterday. Johnson also had some thoughts on the differences between clubs in Denver and those he now goes to in New York.
“It’s a lot harder to get into the clubs in New York,” he said. “It’s more strict to get into certain environments, and that’s the environments I’ve been to.”
In other words, players are not mixing with, as Johnson called them in Denver, “normal people and some convicts.”
Johnson also touted the Player Protect program which has come into the spotlight with the arrest of Braylon Edwards this week. Johnson said he loves having access to the program.
“(It’s) licensed police officers, retired and current,” he said. “You can go out and have a good time and there’s someone in your immediate environment who can prevent something from happening to you.”
