Eli Manning moving up NFL career touchdown list

Eli Manning's four touchdown passes last Thursday moved him up three spots on the NFL's all-time list. He came into that game tied with Donovan McNabb at 234 and passed two Hall of Famers in George Blanda (236) and Jim Kelly (237) to slide into 20th on the NFL's career list with 238.
Next up for Manning to pass are two more Hall of Famers. Len Dawson has one more than Manning and former Giants great Y.A. Tittle finished his career with 242.
Manning has nine touchdown passes this season. If he keeps his current pace for the rest of the season and finishes the year with 36 (which would be a career high), he will have 265. That would be good enough for 12th all-time. Along the way, he would pass John Hadl (244), Boomer Esiason (247), Drew Bledsoe (251), Dan Fouts (254), Sonny Jurgensen (255) and Dave Krieg (261). He would be just behind Joe Montana (273).
Brett Favre holds the record with 508 touchdown passes. Eli Manning is not even halfway to that number, but Peyton Manning probably will pass it this season. Peyton Manning has 499. Only two other active players have more touchdown passes than Eli Manning: Drew Brees (370) and Tom Brady (363).
