Some injury news out of this game against the Steelers from two guys who did not play.

Eli Manning got his stitches out and should be able to go this week. And Brandon Jacobs hurt his neck while doing shrugs in the weight room. He had an MRI but the Giants do not seem to be concerned about it.

Glauber blogged about that here.

As for other injuries, I spoke with Ramses Barden who said he's been told his back injury is "not chronic." He also said that he had second thoughts about whether he should have played last week against the Jets a few days after first starting to feel the twinge in his lower back. "I don't know if I should have played," he said.

But the team's medical staff said he needs rest and treatment to get back on the field. "Other than that it’s just time," he said. "Hopefully it won't be too much time. Hopefully I get to be in a uniform this week. We’ll see."

The other big injury is Jim Sorgi's. "We're concerned," Jerry Reese said. That can't be good news for Sorgi, who is out 2-3 weeks, expected to miss the rest of the preseason with a tear in the anterior capsule of his throwing shoulder.
