PHILADELPHIA — The Giants have had bad injury luck all season and on Sunday, they had to watch quarterback J.J. McCarthy leave the field against the Eagles.

McCarthy took a hit on a designed quarterback run on the Giants’ second offensive play in the third quarter. He was on the ground for a minute before jogging off the field.

The TV broadcast then showed McCarthy wincing on the sidelines trying to throw and nearly falling in pain. He went inside the blue tent and later jogged out and into the locker room.

McCarthy was officially questionable to return with a hip injury.

McCarthy has taken several hits during the game. He was sacked five times in the first half. Jameis Winston entered the game in relief, similar to what he did in Week Two when Jaxson Dart suffered a season-ending knee injury.
