Giants intend to put heat on Tom Brady

When the Giants beat the Patriots in Super Bowl XLII, a big part of their game plan was to put pressure on Tom Brady.
Four years later, that's one of the few things that remain the same. The Giants want to knock Brady around and throw him off his game Sunday.
"I don't care who you are, if you get hit in the face by a 300-something-pound lineman, it's going to change your day," Mathias Kiwanuka said Thursday. "Any quarterback you face, if you can get him out of his rhythm, you can get someone in their face consistently, it will make them hesitate a little bit, and that's what we want to do."
Brady has been sacked 14 times this season, one of the lowest totals in the league.
"We try to go back and watch all the sacks," Kiwanuka said. "There's not a whole lot of times. You try to watch all the pressures, times he's been moved out of the pocket. There's not a whole lot of those, either. He's good at knowing how to get the ball out of his hands fast if he has to."
Then again, the Giants lead the NFL with 26 sacks, so if there is any team that can get to Brady . . . Said defensive coordinator Perry Fewell, "We definitely count on our pass rush to help our pass defense."
Prince may be ready
Will Prince Amukamara finally play Sunday? It sounds as if he is getting closer. "Prince is practicing every day," Fewell said. "We like what we see from him in practice. We don't have the green light, so to speak, right now because we'll practice on Friday. If he comes through good on Friday, we'll evaluate again and then Tom [Coughlin] will make the decision on Saturday."
Giant steps
DE Jason Pierre-Paul injured his neck in a collision in practice and had tests to evaluate it Thursday night. He was listed as limited . . . Coughlin did not have an update on the condition of C David Baas' knee, but Baas did not practice for a second straight day . . . DE Justin Tuck practiced fully for the first time since Week 3. He is listed on the injury report with only a groin injury . . . DE Osi Umenyiora (shoulder/knee) and WR Mario Manningham (illness) returned to practice.
