Tight end Kevin Boss is back to being himself after a week off to recover from a concussion suffered in the Giants' opener. As important as he is to the passing game, his blocking was missed last week against pass-rushing Colts defensive ends Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis.

"I'm completely symptom-free," Boss said today after taking part in the full practice for Sunday's game against Tennessee at New Meadowlands Stadium. "I felt good out there. It felt good to be back.

"I'm hoping I can come in and help us get back to playing the way we know we're capable of playing. It was tough on everyone last week with the noise and the speed of those guys [Freeney and Mathis]. I'm looking forward to getting back and helping anybody out that I can."

The offensive line has struggled so far this season, in part, because of injuries. When Boss went out, tackle Will Beatty was used as an extra blocker in the opener, but then, he suffered an injured foot that required surgery. Backup tight end Travis Beckum really is more of an H-back or slot receiver.

Blocking is something Boss has had to work on, but he's the best available blocker right now at tight end. "In this offense, we're asked to chip the defensive ends and help the tackles out," Boss explained. "We're going to continue to do that and put us in the best position to win."
