Giants Q&A: Last home game for Jacobs, Osi?

Was this the last time Giants fans will cheer for Brandon Jacobs and Osi Umenyiora in person?
Perhaps, although there's always the possibility of a trip to the Canyon of Heroes. But the Giants will not play a home game for the rest of this postseason and neither Jacobs nor Umenyiora is expected to be back next season. If that's the case, both went out with a bang. Jacobs ran 14 times for 92 yards -- including a key fourth-and-an-inch conversion -- and Umenyiora had a sack on what could turn out to be his final home play as a Giant.
Don't both have a year left on their contracts?
Yes, but both also realize that those contracts are meaningless. And they seemed to have an idea that this was their last bow in front of the home crowd. They spent some extra time on the field interacting with the fans after the win.
Umenyiora, who said last week that he is cherishing this playoff opportunity more than anyone else on the team, was coy about what the win meant to him in regard to his memories.
"I'm just enjoying it, man," he said. "You never really know what's going to happen."
And Jacobs left the stadium with his game jersey flung over his left shoulder, perhaps knowing it would be the last time he'd wear blue for the Giants.
The Giants won fairly easily, but were there any tense moments in the second half?
Yes, when Chris Canty batted a pass in the air and a handful of Giants collided while trying to intercept it. Jason Pierre-Paul and Aaron Ross lay motionless for several scary moments after the scrum. Ross suffered a concussion and left the game; Pierre-Paul continued to play.
Was Pierre-Paul OK?
He was, but not until the crowd started chanting "JPP! JPP!"
"I think JPP overplayed it a little bit," Justin Tuck said. "He gave them a little Rocky and got up. But it's a scary moment and you never know."
One of the guys urging Pierre-Paul up was Umenyiora. "I needed him to get up," Umenyiora said. "I didn't want to go out there for 90 plays. I'm through with all that."
Any other injuries?
D.J. Ware left the game with a concussion, his second of the season. Both Ross and Ware said they were "good" walking out of the locker room. Chris Snee had to come out for a few plays with what looked like a stinger but went back in the game. His first play back, in fact, was a 30-yard run by Ahmad Bradshaw right behind his block.
Weren't Kareem McKenzie and John Abraham former teammates with the Jets?
"We know each other pretty well and obviously, we're a little bit older than we were the last time we were on the same team and played against each other, so it was a little special," McKenzie said after the game. "It was like a little bit of a time warp."
