Michael Strahan to be presented by Jay Glazer at Hall of Fame induction

Jay Glazer used to cover Michael Strahan as a player. On Aug. 2, he'll present him as a Hall of Famer.
Strahan, the former Giants defensive end and a 2014 inductee into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, will be presented by his longtime friend and current Fox broadcast teammate. Glazer will be the only presenter at this year's ceremony who is not a former head coach or family member of an inductee.
Given Strahan's fully immersed cannonball into the media since his playing career ended (which has included a sitcom, his own morning show "Live with Kelly and Michael," regular appearances on "Good Morning America" and work as an NFL analyst for Fox), it should come as no surprise that Strahan tapped another TV personality to be what is, in essence, the best man at his induction.
So what does a presenter do?
The first job takes place at the annual Gold Jacket Dinner on Aug. 1 when the presenters will place the Hall of Fame gold jackets on the newest members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Then, at the enshrinement ceremony on Aug. 2, video presentations will be broadcast to the fans in attendance as well as to the national television audiences tuning in.
Each Hall of Famer then will have his presenter accompany him to the enshrinement podium, where together they will unveil the Hall of Famer's bronze bust for the first time.
Two Hall of Famers in this year's class will be presented by their former head coaches: Andre Reed by Marv Levy and Ray Guy by John Madden. Derrick Brooks, Claude Humphrey and Walter Jones each will be presented by one of his children. Aeneas Williams will be presented by his father.
