Since it's the holiday shopping season,I thought I'd pass along this little venture that the NFL is promoting. The league and its Play 60 initiative are rolling out a new program where kids or families can donate used football gear at Sports Authority stores nationwide. The gear will go to underprivileged youth football players. Michael Strahan and Adrian Peterson are the two faces of the campaign.

So if you have some old cleats or pads or jerseys that you don't use anymore, and you're shopping at a Sports Authority, go ahead and drop it off. I think you also get a gift card to the store for each donation.
