Note to Dallas Cowboys fans: The Giants beat them once already

The Giants have had just about enough of the fawning over the Cowboys.
“They do have one loss, let’s not forget that,” linebacker Jonathan Casillas said on Wednesday. “Everybody’s talking about how good Dallas is and that they’re the best team in the league. You have to give them the credit, the credit is due. But they have one loss, just in case anybody forgot about that.”
One loss to whom?
“I can’t remember,” Casillas said with a chuckle. “It was a long time ago.”
It was, of course, to the Giants, a 20-19 decision in Dallas to open the season. While the two teams have gone on different trajectories since then – the Cowboys streaking to 11 straight wins and the Giants taking an up-and-down route to be 8-4 heading into Sunday night’s game – the Giants certainly feel they can add another blemish to the NFL’s best record.
“We know them very well,” guard Justin Pugh said, “and it should be exciting to get back out there and be able to give them another loss.”
Casillas admitted that the Cowboys have “got that thing rolling” and said that it’s not by accident or luck that they are atop the standings.
“They’re a good team, man,” he said. “They’re playing really well. But they do have one loss and it is against us.”
Has that been forgotten by a lot of folks?
“I know that no one around here forgets that we beat them, but I bet you that a lot of people in the NFL don’t even remember who that one loss is to,” Pugh said. “Maybe we can go out there and remind them again.”
“The only people who don’t forget,” Casillas said, “are Giants fans.”
