Just a few other notes from practice:

Chris Snee was back on the field a day after his wife gave birth to their third son, Walker. It was also the 10th grandchild for Tom and Judy Coughlin. Today is also Tom Coughlin’s birthday, so the team sang that song to him after practice. The media did not.

Kareem McKenzie was back at practice too after suffering migraines the last few days, so the Giants got the right side of their offensive line back. They also had Adam Koets at center, Rich Seubert at left guard and David Diehl at left tackle. Good bet that’s what it’ll look like on Thursday against the Pats.

Chase Blackburn was out doing some running. He’s still doing linear running but hopes to do more lateral running Friday or Saturday. He said it’s highly unlikely he’ll play on Thursday night because he can use the rest of the long weekend, but he hopes to be back on Monday when the team returns for the first week of the regular season.

Travis Beckum was not practicing. Coughlin called his appearance on the field yesterday a “one-day thing” and said he’s still fighting a neck injury. Gerris Wilkinson was also not there, dealing with a groin injury.

Shaun O’Hara and Aaron Ross – the cast cast – were not on the field either. Alex Hall went to the trainer’s table early and sat out most of the practice. And Jason Pierre-Paul had to take a break during the workout to have some cold towels placed on his neck and guzzle some fluids. Afterwards he said he was not dehydrated or having trouble with the heat. Hmmm.
