Rueben Randle backs up Odell Beckham's 'best offense' comments

Giants rookie receiver Odell Beckham Jr. hasn't played a snap during a preseason game but still managed to proclaim on Tuesday the Giants' offense "has the potential to be, if not the best, one of the best in the league."
Just a wide-eyed rookie looking ahead with boundless optimism? Perhaps. But at least one veteran offensive player backed up the kid's words.
"I definitely agree," wide receiver Rueben Randle said. "I think we're all confident in that we have the talent around us. Now it's a matter of jelling together into this [West Coast offense] concept and making everything work."
Randle has had a solid training camp and hopes to build on the strides he made last year. He also hopes to overcome some of the mistakes that resulted in several botched plays.
"I'm getting there," said Randle, who is expected to start opposite Victor Cruz. "I just want to keep everything positive, take no steps backwards. Work hard, make plays and keep things rolling."
Randle had a decent year in 2013 with 41 catches for 611 yards and six touchdowns. But he admits there were some communication issues with quarterback Eli Manning, and he hopes those problems have been ironed out.
"Last year could have been a lot better, if we just communicated more and made sure we were all on the same page," he said. "I think a lot of those plays last year could have been touchdowns instead of interceptions. But that's over with now. It's a new page, a new chapter, a new year for us as a team. We have to put it in the past and move on."
