Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings, who has battled a groin injury all season, is having surgery to correct the problem. Jennings told reporters he would undergo the procedure on Oct. 30 in Philadelphia, but he does expect to be able to return this season.
That's encouraging news for a Packers team that has managed to overcome his injury and stay within striking distance of the Bears in the NFC North. The Packers have won two straight and are 4-3, trailing the 5-1 Bears by 1 1/2 games. the Vikings are second at 4-2.
