Hofstra alum Bowen signs with Redskins
Free agent defensive end Stephen Bowen has agreed to terms with the Washington Redskins.
Bowen's deal was announced Thursday by his agent on Twitter. The Redskins can't announce the deal until Friday under NFL rules.
ESPN reported that Bowen agreed a five-year, $27.5 million deal that includes $12.5 million in guaranteed money.
Bowen played five seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. He started nine games last year and had 1½ sacks.
Bowen made the Cowboys' roster in 2006 as an undrafted free agent out of Hofstra.
