TITANS (2-7) AT JAGUARS (3-6), 8:25 p.m.

TV: NFL; Radio: WFAN (660, 101.9)

Jaguars by 3; O/U: 43 1/2

My biggest NFL pet peeves are as follows:

Receivers calling for pass interference after every play.

Defensive players celebrating routine tackles as if they just won the Super Bowl.

Mind-boggling coaching decisions (see: clock management and not going for it on fourth-and-1).

But maybe the biggest one of all might be Thursday night matchups like this one: Titans vs. Jaguars? Really? I know every team needs its spot in prime time once, but this AFC South battle is hard to get excited about. Interestingly enough, these 2-7 and 3-6 teams have playoff aspirations as they're chasing the first-place Colts and Texans, who are 4-5. The Jaguars have won two of three, even though the NFL admitted its refs made a mistake in Jacksonville's last-second win at Baltimore last week that would've negated the chance at a winning kick. The Titans won at New Orleans two weeks ago and played unbeaten Carolina tight for three quarters last week.

If there was such a thing as an NFL handicapping dictionary, and you looked up the term "toss-up game,'' you'd see a picture of a quarter with Blake Bortles on one side and Marcus Mariota on the other.

The Jaguars are allowing 28.3 points per game, and I think Mariota and the Titans will have success moving the ball. Mariota, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2015 draft, has thrown 10 touchdown passes and no interceptions in three road games this season (2-1). Another reason why I'll lean slightly toward Tennessee is this eye-popping stat courtesy of RJ Bell and pregame.com: This is just the third time in Jacksonville's last 52 games that it has been a favorite. I'll roll the dice, I mean flip the coin, and take Tennessee.
