Steelers linebacker James Harrison was fined $75,000 for an illegal helmet-to-helmet hit on Browns receiver Mohamed Massaquoi last month, and he may face an additional fine for a late hit on Drew Brees in Sunday night's Saints-Steelers game.

He was summoned to the office of NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Tuesday in New York, according to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Harrison was accompanied by Steelers director of football operations Kevin Colbert and his agent, Bill Parise. The agent told Dulac the meeting was "an exchange of ideas and an opportunity for both sides to learn and grow."

Parise added: "These types of meetings should have taken place before [players] were fined $75,000."
