Quarterback injuries have forced the Bills to go with unheralded (as in, who the heck is this guy?) Jeff Tuel as their likely opening day starter against New England.

You read right.

The Bills are so decimated at the position because of injuries to Kevin Kolb (concussion) and rookie E.J. Manuel (knee surgery) that they're down to Tuel, who was a longshot to even make the roster, no less be the opening day starter against Tom Brady and the Patriots.

If Tuel does start (there's still a chance that Manuel will be ready for the opener, but he has yet to return to practice), he'd be the first undrafted free agent starting quarterback on opening day since the modern draft was introduced in 1967.
