Revis on Cruz: 'I don't even know who this guy is'

Darrelle Revis apparently isn't a member of the Victor Cruz fan club.
"I don’t even know who this guy is," the All-Pro cornerback said.
"Whatever he said, it’s in one ear and out the other. The only time I remember this guy is in the preseason game. Other than that, I don’t know the guy very well."
Cruz, the Giants wideout, basically called Revis out yesterday, saying he's no longer striking fear in the opposition.
"Teams aren't really scared anymore," Cruz said. "He's got to earn his money this year. Teams aren't really backing down. I feel like we're going to do the same thing."
Revis, in one of the few moments he chuckled during a nearly six-minute session, said teams have no reason to be afraid of him for one particular reason.
"I mean, I’m not a monster," he said. "So why would anybody be scared?"
Asked if he's amazed people -- like former Jaguars receiver Jason Hill as well as Bills wideout Stevie Johnson -- seem to be calling him out more than previously, Revis brushed that off.
"It really doesn’t matter what people say," he said. "It don’t matter what I say. It don’t matter what other receivers say. If it’s on paper, it’s on paper. You’ve got to go out there and play on Sundays – which this game is Saturday -- and you’ve just got to prove it."
Rex Ryan appeared almost amused Cruz challenged Revis in a sense.
"I'd call out a lot more guys [before him]," He said. "That list would be a lot longer before I would get to Revis. But you know what? That’s good. As a competitor, you want to face the best, and you are certainly going to face the best when you face Darrelle Revis."
Revis said he's at a place in his career where trash talk doesn't get under your skin.
"At this point, it really doesn’t matter," he said. "It’s all on paper. People can say what they say in the paper, on the news. The crazy thing is, a lot of people don’t trash talk on the field when it comes game time. It really doesn’t matter. These guys can say whatever they want to say and you just laugh at it. You just laugh and say, 'Ok, that’s it. We’ll see. We’ll see come play time.' "
