Darrelle Revis wouldn't mind playing elsewhere

Darrelle Revis always has said he wants to be a "Jet for life,'' but the star cornerback isn't naive about the harsh business side of the NFL. During the second part of a recent interview on the "Real Rob Report,'' a Web-based show hosted by Seahawks fullback Michael Robinson, Revis said he's anxious to play for whichever team wants him -- even if it's not the Jets.
"Revis Island will be back on the field soon,'' said the three-time All-Pro, who is rehabbing from ligament surgery on his left knee. "I don't know, we'll see where the future leads to -- if I'll be back with the Jets or not. It really doesn't matter. I just want to play football."
In part one of the interview, Revis said it would be "awesome'' to try to win a championship with the 49ers.
Revis also said beleaguered quarterback Mark Sanchez can be a winner "but we need to put the right weapons around him for him to be successful. That should be our focus with Mark Sanchez, put the right players around him.''
Revis, however, didn't sound so convinced about Tim Tebow's NFL longevity. When asked by Robinson, who played quarterback at Penn State, if Tebow could make the same transition to fullback as he did or become a successful quarterback, Revis chuckled.
"Man, that's a tough question,'' he said before pausing for several seconds. "I think anything is possible if you put your mind to it. I know Tim is a hard worker and he's always gonna be like that. It's really not my opinion of what he does and what he's going to do in the future, it depends on teams and if they want him.
"If he stays with us, we should try and get him a Wildcat package that really fits him and surround him with guys that can really help him in that package.''
Revis touched on other topics, including new Jets general manager John Idzik ("He's trying to clean house to get some great players in here''); whether Seattle's Richard Sherman is one of the NFL's top cornerbacks ("He's on his way'') and if commissioner Roger Goodell has too much power ("I think so'').
