Jets move up to No. 3 in NFL Draft

If you don’t believe the Jets are serious about getting a quarterback, check out this trade from Saturday morning: The Jets swapped their No. 6 overall pick with the Colts and moved up to No. 3 in the NFL Draft, the teams announced.
The Jets also gave up both their second round picks, No. 37 and No. 49 overall, and a 2019 second-round pick.
In a draft that expects to be top-heavy with quarterbacks, the Jets, in need of a franchise quarterback, traded places with a team that doesn’t need one. The Colts’ Andrew Luck, who missed last season with a severe shoulder injury, is expected to return in 2018.
Seeing that, the Jets found a willing trade partner to move up, and gave up the necessary capital to do it.
Now the Jets are in play, one spot below the Giants at No. 2, to possibly select Josh Rosen, Baker Mayfield or Sam Darnold, considered the top three quarterbacks on most NFL team’s draft boards.
