Omar Cooper Jr.’s rookie season has been put on hold.
The Jets receiver was placed on injured reserve on Saturday, knocking him out for at least four games. Cooper suffered an ankle injury in his NFL debut last Sunday in Tennessee. Cooper, a first-round pick out of Indiana, had a catch-and-run for 30 yards on the game’s opening drive that led to a Jets’ touchdown.
The Jets also elevated kicker Jason Sanders and linebacker Troy Reader from the practice squad.
