Revis, Jets still at stalemate
Another day means another report that Darrelle Revis is on the verge of a new deal, bringing him closer to ending his 25-day holdout.
Turned out to be yet another false alarm.
A sports reporter from Pittsburgh television station KDKA said on his Twitter page that "Revis getting closer to accepting a record deal from Jets . . . my people in the county say it could be a 10-yr deal 150 mill, 65 guaranteed!!!"
However, all indications still point to a continued stalemate. Owner Woody Johnson told NFL.com at the Owners' Meetings in Atlanta Wednesday that everything with Revis is "status quo." A source familiar with the situation said the Jets are not budging as of now with their offer of 10 years, $122 million.
"I'm not going to talk about Revis," Rex Ryan said after practice at Hofstra. "Both sides agreed to that."
