Darrelle Revis spent some time Friday at the Happiest Place on Earth. The only thing that would seem to make him even happier would be having another game-changing cornerback to play opposite him in 2011.

Revis has already stumped publicly for the return of free agent-to-be Antonio Cromartie, even though some reports say that he will not be brought back to the Jets. On Friday, during an appearance at ESPN The Weekend at Disney World, Revis added another name to his wish-upon-a-star list: Nnamdi Asomugha.

“I would vouch for Nnamdi,” he said.

In an interview with ESPNNewYork.com, however, Revis stated that his preference would be to retain Cromartie.

"I mean, yeah, the type of player he is, I feel he’s one of the best in the league," Revis said of Cromartie, according to the report. "I can only do so much. I can go tell Rex [Ryan] we need this guy on the team, and Rex knows that as well. Rex knows we need the guy, but with the contract situation, the (team) has to do what’s best for them and the player has to do what’s best for him."

Of course, swapping Cromartie out for Asomugha wouldn’t exactly be a step backwards.

"Anybody coming in, if Cro isn’t on the team, would have to fill some big shoes," Revis said. "It could be Nnamdi, it could be anybody. We just have to wait that out to see if that situation comes up. If it doesn’t … we’re fine with Cro. There’s no problem with Cromartie. He’s a great player."

No matter who plays cornerback opposite Revis, Rex Ryan has already guaranteed a Super Bowl for the Jets in the 2011 season. That’s fine with Revis.

“I think it’s always motivational,” he said in a segment on ESPN’s “First Take.” “We like the energy, we like what he talks about. What he said about winning the Super Bowl, that’s why you play this game … You play this game to get a ring. If you’re not playing for that, you shouldn’t be in the NFL.”
