Rex Ryan has taken his fair share of shots this week, aiming squarely at New England quarterback Tom Brady and his head coach Bill Belichick. But when asked for his reaction to Wes Welker's Thursday press conference, the Jets coach was tame.

"This is a huge rivalry game, anything goes and I can take it," he said. "I’m not going to discuss it, but I can take it."

Asked if he thought Welker's 10-minute interview, which included 10 references to feet and/or toes (a direct dig at the recently exposed foot fetish videos featuring Ryan and his wife, Michelle), Ryan said: “Again, I’m not getting into that. Anything goes this week and that’s the way it is.”

The Jets coach was then made aware of comments made by Yankee great Reggie Jackson, who called out the team for talking trash instead of keeping their mouths shut.

“That’s his opinion or whatever," Ryan said. "You know what, we’re always going to be who we are. Like, Reggie Jackson was always who he was. And we could use Reggie’s bat this week. If he wants to help us out, I’d be happy if that happens."
