Ryan: Sanchez's head is clear

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Jets coach Rex Ryan said Mark Sanchez seemed perfectly fine Monday.
Sanchez appeared to be a little dazed after Sunday's 27-24 win over the Cowboys. The third-year quarterback took longer than usual to make his way to his locker and address the media, and once he did, he had a glazed look on his face.
Sanchez was sacked four times and was hit on six other occasions, but Ryan said Sanchez wasn't on the Jets' two-plus page list of players requiring treatment, and believes his signal caller is good to go.
"I was with him for four hours today," Ryan said. "He went to this event with Mike Tannenbaum and myself in the city. It was for charity. He seemed fine to me. We all saw the game. I'm sure he was sore. I'm sure he was beat up."
Brotherly love
Ryan had the chance to talk a little trash after Sunday's win and rub it in twin brother Rob Ryan's face. But he opted not to gloat to the Cowboys defensive coordinator.
"It was just more, 'Hey, dude, let's try to focus on getting our teams to the Super Bowl and maybe we'll have at it again,' " Ryan said. "He said, 'Yeah.' He's so close, the last two years of playing me, he hasn't beaten me yet. I think they really thought they had it, but quite honestly, that wasn't our belief."
Ryan wasn't able to enjoy having his family around. His father, Buddy -- scheduled for cancer surgery later this week -- attended the game, along with Rex's eldest brother Jim.
"It was great, but then we just got bombarded," Ryan said. "You really couldn't talk about it as much as I wanted to, and couldn't really escape to the field as much because my dad doesn't move very well now. But it was still great to be on the field and my older brother was there, too. So it was special, there's no doubt."
