Woody Johnson's wish list: Romney victory, then Jets

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Woody Johnson apparently is the ultimate patriot.

When it comes to what's good for his team versus what's good for his country -- at least in his mind -- the Jets owner sides with his fellow countrymen.

During an interview Monday on the set of Bloomberg's "Market Makers," Johnson was asked which scenario he'd prefer: a victory for Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney or a winning season for the Jets.

"I think you always have to put country first," said Johnson, who also is the chairman of Romney's New York campaign.

"So I think it's very, very important -- not only for us, but for our kids and grandkids -- that this election come off with Mitt Romney and [Paul] Ryan as president and vice president."
