Knee surgery for Braylon Edwards
Former Jets receiver Braylon Edwards, who signed a one-year, $1 million deal with the 49ers this season, is out with a knee problem that required recent surgery.
Matt Maiocco of CSNBayarea.com reports that Edwards will be "out for a little bit," according to head coach Jim Harbaugh. Edwards was injured on the third play of San Francisco's overtime loss to the Cowboys on Sunday. Harbaugh didn't get any more specific about a time frame for Edwards to return.
Harbaugh did say, however, that wide receiver Michael Crabtree, who has had foot problems, would "most likely" be active this week after being inactive for the Cowboys' game.
