Late-rounders, waiver wire keys to titles
The middle to late round picks and working the waiver wire are key to winning championships. Some undervalued players to watch for:
Matthew Stafford, Lions, QB: There's no doubt he's risky because of the injuries, but he has tremendous upside. If he plays 16 games, he should throw 30 TDs. As long as you pair him with a safe QB, he's worth it.
Sam Bradford, Rams, QB: Attempted 590 passes last season and impressed as a rookie with many of his receivers injured. Bradford is being drafted as a No. 2 QB and can finish Top 12.
Brandon Jacobs, Giants, RB: Jacobs had just 147 carries last season and rushed for 823 yards and nine TDs. Should get more carries this season.
Mike Tolbert, Chargers, RB: Ryan Mathews is very talented, but has to prove he's durable and Tolbert was very good last season. Tolbert had 11 TDs and is also a good receiver.
Lance Moore, Saints, WR: Moore had 95 targets last season with 66 catches for 763 yards and eight TDs (10 TDs in 2008). Moore runs good routes and gets looks in the red zone.
Kenny Britt, Titans, WR: Might be suspended for off- field incidents and is dealing with a sore hamstring making him a bargain. An elite talent.
Jacoby Ford, Raiders, WR: Averaged 18.8 yards per catch last season and scored two rushing TDs. He's fast and at 5-9 makes tough catches in traffic. Lots of upside, cheap price.
Andre Roberts, Cardinals, WR: In position to start opposite Larry Fitzgerald. Flashed his talent Christmas Day with five catches for 110 yards and a TD and 244 all-purpose yards.
Greg Olsen, Panthers, TE: Offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski is a former tight end and Panthers don't have many receiving threats after Steve Smith.
Jared Cook, Titans, TE: Has been quiet his first two seasons, but will be incorporated into the offense. In the final three games last season, had 15 catches for 196 yards and a TD.
