LIers Miguel Maysonet, Ifeanyi Momah, Scott Vallone cut from NFL rosters

In addition to Riverhead native and Stony Brook graduate Miguel Maysonet, two other Islanders were cut from NFL rosters Friday as teams tried to reach the 53-player roster minimum.
Wide receiver Ifeanyi Momah of Greenlawn was cut by the Philadelphia Eagles, while the New England Patriots cut Central Islip native Scott Vallone.
The 6-7 Momah, who played at Glenn High School, had three catches for 42 yards in the preseason, with all coming against the Jets in Week 4. Momah played college ball at Boston College, but tore his ACL during his senior season in 2011 and was out of football until the Eagles signed him before training camp.
Vallone, who signed with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent, was a star defensive tackle at St. Anthony's High School. The Rugters alum had two tackles and a sack in three preseason appearances, though they all came against the Giants in Week 4.
The roster cutdown deadline is Saturday at 6 p.m.
