The news continues to be positive for Robert Griffin III, whose rehab has progressed to the point where he ran two miles during an Official Team Activity session. He’s also running cross-field sprints.

“It’s been a journey,” Griffin said, via CSNWashington.com. “Everyone gets to see the flowers and roses side of it — out here running, throwing, feeling good about it, having a little energy, bounce in your step. But I’ve had to be patiently aggressive this whole time. Just let my body heal and be aggressive where I can.”

Griffin remains focused on being ready for the opener, although Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan said he won’t play Griffin until the quarterback is sufficiently recovered from his injury. Griffin hopes to be cleared for all drills sometime within the next several weeks.
